if you wish to join before this time, you will be kept within the ‘waiting room’ until your allotted time to ensure that there is no disruption to others.
Once you are moved from the waiting room your behaviour is expected to be as a normal grading, so if for any reason you wish to get the grading examiner’s attention please raise your hand. Do not simply leave your grading for any reason, ask if you need the toilet or a drink and bow before leaving and re-joining the grading. It is important that the grading examiner can see all of you throughout the grading, especially for those taking gradings where freeforms are included.
You are expected to wear your full ECKA gi (blue jacket and white trousers) and your current belt – if you have one, and no jewellery.
Once your grading is complete you may receive some constructive feedback on your performance, but your results will be distributed by your instructor.
Any belts awarded will be handed out by your instructor at a later date. The belts will also have an indication that you have completed the theory aspect of the grading only.
